The Picnic

I now know why they call decoration day in McMinnville "the picnic". Two sisters started having a picnic years and years ago to raise money for the cemetery. I guess it just stuck with people through out the years. I know that I have been going each year since I can remember and I'm 51 so that tells you how old this tradition is. It was a pretty good weekend, my parents had a nice time visiting with family and friends. It was really good for my dad, he did wonderful-Thank You Lord! He even recalled things from the past that amazed us. They had a cake walk and my little Eli won three times. The other kiddos were getting upset that he was winning everything. We shared so they were okay with that. He was so proud of the cake, he just wanted to hold it and not let go. Until tomorrow, God Bless!
